Summertime Blue
Light as a breeze, evocative of the bright skies of summer and the Tradewinds pulling the occasional fluffy cloud along in its wake. A breath of airy imported blue musk is mixed with tropical fruit (pineapple and mango) and lei flowers (magnolia, tuberose, orchid, hibiscus and maile vine) layered upon coconut cream and fresh blueberry fruit and leaves.
Defrosted
It's been theorized that the tradition of Spring Cleaning dates back centuries, rituals to mark the passage of Winter to Spring, with households embarking upon a thoroughly cleaning of a domicile and everything in it. Many of these observances worldwide are tied to religious observances and feast days. When the weather turns warm and we can open the windows wide, we desire to give ourselves a fresh start for the new year. Always a fan of that which is refreshing and uplifting, our very own Le Wizard decided to capture this feeling in a bottle: a soapy-scented welcome to Spring. Nascent notes of iris blossoms twined with green leaves, pine, Hawaiian maile vine and leaf, then scrubbed with a trio of lavish soap accords, and given a gentle polish with a blend of vanilla oak and Arabian resins.
4th Dimension
A man who could surely be said to be our preeminent futurist – in that his fictional creations were explorations of future realms often prescient in their portrayals – was the English novelist H.G. Wells. Often referred to as “the father of Science Fiction,” he approached his writing from a distinctly scientific and socialist viewpoint, which is evident in such works as The Island of Dr. Moreau, The War of the Worlds, and The Time Machine. The latter novel is one of the very first portrayals of time travel, and a classic devising of Wells’ philosophy combined with his quest for plausible depictions of potential technology. We constructed our very own tribute to the novel with a journey both back in time and to those native regions which surely inspired the author in his imaginative names! A dusty, antique bouquet of Rose Geranium with hints of honeysuckle and rose and a drop of sandalwood is placed within the Moors and Lochs of the British Isles: dried marsh grasses and mosses and a wisp of marsh orchid.
